The Rail Yard District Business Council
founded in 2018 through a partnership between lisc jacksonville and area business leaders.
who we are
Founded in 2018 through a partnership between LISC Jacksonville and local business leaders, the Rail Yard District Business Council (RYDBC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to revitalizing one of Jacksonville’s most historically significant districts. Once a thriving industrial hub, the area has experienced decades of economic decline. Today, the district faces aging infrastructure, underused properties, and economic disparities that affect both businesses and residents.
The RYDBC exists to change that trajectory. We bring together businesses, residents, and community partners to strengthen the district, elevate its identity, and shape a more vibrant future.
The Rail Yard District Business Council is a registered nonprofit organization recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) public charity. Our mission‑driven work is supported through community partnerships, grants, and charitable contributions, all of which help advance economic vitality, historic preservation, and quality‑of‑life initiatives within the Rail Yard District.
